Track of the Day for International Day of Democracy

The UN General Assembly, in a resolution (in 2007)  encouraged Governments to strengthen national programmes devoted to the promotion and ‘consolidation of democracy‘, and also decided that 15 September of each year should be observed as the International Day of Democracy.

 

The Clash released Bankrobber (1980). The song is about a father – a bankrobber who “never hurt nobody” and concentrates on the the theme of the drudgery of many working class jobs.
