On This Day 1533

7 Sep

Elizabeth I, was born. Later when she could walk and talk – In order to suppress Catholicism, she had thousands of Catholics in England and Ireland murdered.  She also gave Mary, Queen of Scots refuge, then betrayed her, locked her up in the tower for nearly 19 years, then murdered her.
She encouraged piracy against Spanish ships and allowed the slave trade to thrive. Way-d-go Bessy!
This is for her.
